I have been out and about in the area and Bucks here are still running together as a rule . I believe it is time to rattle here . Got some good responses last weekend . A nice young droptine 11 came running . I personally hope he doesn't get shot .I would like to see those genes transfered to the tremendous amount of does in our area . Good luck and God bless

Our guys saw just a couple young bucks smelling the trails and hopping around some does, most bucks were solitary or in pairs though, and most does were alone in packs/no bucks in attendance...

I too think this week is the pre-rut/rattle time... think by the 20th most will be paired up for a few days...

Saw this one in the back of a pick up on Sunday morning, shot in Foard County.

The buck I shot (not the one above) was chasing a group of does. I have heard from others that they have seen the same thing. The guy that shot the deer in the above post said it was chasing does too. This goes for Foard and Hardeman.

I was at the Veterans luncheon Sunday in Crowell and heard about this one I think. Nice rack on him for sure. I'd have burned my one buck tag on him too.

I had a 9 pointer Saturday morning go after a couple of does for only a minute then returned to the feeder. It's getting close though. Headed back tonight for the weekend.

Pretty slow this morning. A few does milling around. No bucks moving at all.

Great morning to be out enjoying it though. My son is having a good time.

Have heard 6 shots off in the distance so far.

I have heard of some chasing, but have yet to see any of it. I've seen some single does and bucks, but never together. I think this next week will be prime.

The consensus at the Herring Bank Coffee shop this week was all does, no bucks. Wait until Thanksgiving week and it will change...

For myself, only seeing does thus far...
