I am talking about the Caddo area. Just to make sure about it after I read some responses the other day; I called the forest services and they made it clear that I was allowed to use a rifle as long as it wasn't automatic or in the decater area. I do appreciate the input cause the last thing I want is to break any rules. So my next question is are you all hunting in the decator area or near the Caddo area?

We hunt Turkey in the spring on LBJ. We were drawn for antlerless permits at Bannister in the Angelina Forest so we are heading down there in two weeks.

I talked to 1 of the Park service guys last year while I was riding around on the grasslands off of fm1610 & he said there were a few good deer taken out there. I havent been back but 1 time this year 2 weeks into bow season & seen about 1/2 dozen trailers & tents on the place. My Dad lives there in Alvord & he occasionally drive thru to see if he spots any deer & has seen some. There are some places around the black creek area that are good as well. I will look at the map & post #'s for everyone. Hopefully this will help out....
