Anyone else on here in Mills County? We have an 1800 acre lease off FM 218 between Priddy and Zephyr. Heard quite a few shots opening morning all around us. Just trying to figure out who may be on the board that's around that area. Maybe we can meet up next weekend.

I hunt in Mills county (Caradan). I know of a 18" 9 oint taken opening morning and a 15" 11 oint Sunday morning. The younger deer seemed pretty interested in chasing but the big one will robably hold off till the next cold snap which is this coming weekend. The Ar's seem to be working only two years into it. Hoefully some of the other roerties in the area can let some of the younger deer walk even if they are "legal shooters".

BScheu, do you drive a big gray dodge? If so, I think I saw you last weekend with a 12 point in your truck.

Mills county...caradan area for me too. I'll be in the stand Friday afternoon and all weekend.
My neighbors are fellow THF members but haven't been able to shake their hand yet.
If someone plans a get together, I'll do my best to attend. Priddy isn't far from me at all

The only problem with planning a get together is where would we do it?
There isn't anywhere in Priddy.
We could go to Brownwood, Comanche or Goldthwaite

Free ranging exotics? were they blackbucks? we used to have a bunch on our property that our landowner placed out there, but they seemed to have disappeared.

Same thing happened to us, we had 30 or 40 blackbuck four years ago, the last two years, I have only seen two out there. I don't think it helped that every time we went out there last year, the landowner always left the main gate wide open.

crazy to hear all the talk of Priddy and Democrat my grandfather grew up in Democrat and still resides there. literally been hunting there since I was 6 and now I am 29. The last 5 years I have mainly hunted my lease, my dad's, and our family land. Over the 24 odd years I have seen several good deer (130 plus) missed 2 killed 2, and videod one about 150. The worst part for me is that some of ya'll might be responsible for what I now call "crappy hunting".
