I shoot Federal Premium and was wondering if any of you guys or gals shoot it. The box says it will drop 11.1 inches at three hundred. Just wondering if any of yall have ever put it paper at that distance.

I went back and looked at my data.. If you sight in 1.5 inches high at 100 with a 117 grain bullet around 3000 fps you only gonna drop about 7 inches at 300..if you know your gonna shoot that far sight in at 2 inches high at 100 and pretty much hold dead on to about 350....

My 25-06 loves the Federal premium. It is dialed in at 2" high at 100 and have shot several yote and hogs out to 330 by holding dead on.

I shoot the 25-06 Federal Premiums in 115 grain noslar partitions & am sighted in 2" high at a 100 yards.
Made a 315 yard shot on a antelope last year with less than 2" of drop.

Pretty much what eveyone else has said. You dail in at 2 inches high at 100 yards I feel real comfortable out to about 325 yards. The 25-06 is such a flat shoting round. My A-Bolt seems to really like the Hornady custom in 116 grain. Good luck and happy hunting.

Acording to the ballistic's calculator I use (it's pretty accurate, by my testing), a .257 cal, 120 gr Nosler partition at 3000 fps sighted in at 100 yards is 11.6" low at 300.
The same load sighted in 2" high at 100 yards is .8" high at 200 and 5.7" low at 300.
