Does she roll on the floor or in the yard after she eats? If so, be careful, as dogs can "twist" thier stomachs and be "not good" for days. I lost one like this one time; sad. She was crying and restless at night and nobody could figure out what the problem was until it was too late.

Blaze is in VCA metroplex pet hospital. Max dose of Vitamin K, Plasma transfusion given that will be followed by a blood transfusion. She is having some blood loss, but they are unable to find out where. It could not be found with xray or ultrasound. They do not want to poke around for fear of creating problems.
It is not 100% rat poison diagnosis. Initial blood work time line and the fact that it was perfectly normal. And some things with the latest blood work you would have to have the vet explain don't add up. But this newest vet did some testing to rule out other things since they could do it in house and made some calls to others in the field as well talked to poison control. With what we have, felt it best to treat it as warfarin poisoning. Blaze is in "critical" condition. We will know more in the next 24 hours. I'm a wreck! My wife worse so. Last night I felt like I was watching her die and helpless as to why or what to do. At lease we have something able to be done now.

John ... do you use mouse/rat poison around the house? If so, hHave you checked for empty/spilled containers? I have some on a work bench in the garage but in a place where the dawgs can't possible reach it. Ditto in out barn. I have a number of containers there but all on the first shelf of the storage racks 4' off the ground. Even then when the dawgs are infrequently in the barn with me I watch them like a hawk.

Another possibillity that many vets overlook entirely is a mouse or rat eating a large portion of poison and then it being caught and eaten by the dawg.

Good wishes and prayers continuing.

Thanks for the update.

I feel for you because I've dealt with dogs that were poisoned and I know how much confusion and pain there is.

All I can do is pray for your family.

My Miley has been off her game and hasn't been feeling well. She seems to be getting better now.....We kept her in the house all of the time and she hardly ever got outside. We started letting her stay in the back yard during the day and I am seeing a much improved Miley. Prayers sent!
