why does the guy that shot the deer gotta get flack for it? he shot it, he must have liked the deer enough to pull the trigger. why not just say congrats and move on. at sometime in all our lives or even now that would be considered a trophey!!!! I'm right there with you. Makes me not even want to post when I get a buck if it's not some "MONSTER." Lots of nay-sayers around here and it gets old. I started to read the forum a year ago and quit because of all the nit-picking. Congrats are in order for the new hunter on the lease. That's a fine deer. To each his own.

I would have shot him too, even if it was the first day. Then again, I have yet to shoot a buck at all. Good looking deer to me.

vern is kinda stingy with the details but no laws seem to be broken....the guy was probably excited to be on a new lease....might have been the biggest deer he has ever seen on the hoof..........I've seen guys milk a thread vern but geez! .......its good to be king.

hey mewshaw84 i dont think this is a bad place to post but if you leave the post open ended these things probably tend to happen. i think ,and this is just me but some people are to caught up in monster deer to think regular deer that would have been tropheys at one time in there life, arent worth shootin anymore. to me that is a great deer and i have killed bigger. that buck is a looker!!! well probably gonna catch some crap for this but its all good!!
It's not how you fall, It's how you get up.

The suspense is gone sig, I'm getting tired of reading all the other post just to see if you posted the rest of the story, it's time Paul Harvey.
No doubt about the AR crap, just damn shame hunters don't have self control and knowledge

the deer had a spread over 13" and he was fairly mature, so it blows a hole in your theory about AR's?
