How will you hold the handle bars and shoot?

If I am not mistaken it is illegal in the state of Texas to sell hunts out of helicopters. Will see if I can find the info.

They are out of west Texas but I think there hunts are in Alabama not sure. yes, it is illegal not sure why though. They have a you tube video titled Death From Above. He told me to look it up. Just haven't had time yet.

http://www.scrippsnews.com/content/texas-hunts-helicopter-used-control-wild-hogs"In Texas, it is illegal to pay to hunt from a helicopter. During the 2009 state legislative session, a bill, sponsored by state Rep. Sid Miller, R-Stephenville, to make aerial hunting legal died. However, Johnson has a permit from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for aerial wildlife and exotic animal management -- which allows him to shoot the feral hogs. Nueces Helicopters has flown over South Texas counties to shoot feral hogs, and a few other helicopter operators have permits in the state to do the same. His gunners need only a valid Texas hunting license, and landowners must sign an agreement allowing the helicopter shootings on their land." So it's illegal to do on your own but if you get a permit from the state you can do it?! Sound's like a good money making industry if you've got the equipment.

Just like people here say they are giving you a hunt for a corn donation , when in reality its more than paying for a hunt.
I guess you donate your time and chip in for gas for a helicoptor

The MD-500 pilot has a friend with a UH-1 Huey, so now we just need to locate suitable land on which to fly/hog hunt. So does anyone have any experience executing/applying for/receiving a LOA to manage wildlife or_exotic_animals_by aircraft?

I've never done it but I'd LOVE to. I know a guy that has about 15,000 acres near Dallas and another that has about 6,500 acres in South Texas that might be suitable. Either, or both of them, might be interested or they might not be but I couldn't imagine that, lol. I'll give them a call this week and see who's up for what.

We have scheduled our flyover, but have not obtained permission or permits as of yet for 3 adjoining ranches located in lower Taylor county, Reeves, Webb, and Nix ranches in late Jan.
The Permit is not the issue in this case, the permission to fly with guns in the air that close to Dyess Airforce base is our obstacle at this time.
Note, all ranch owners must sign off, approve, on the gunners being used.
Our permits are being handled by Bobby Palmer, Texas Wildlife Services Program, he his the Texas Wildlife county trapper for Taylor county.
If anyone has questions on how to get permits for your property to have a flyover done, Bobby can point you in the right direction for your county. 8-5 m-f 325-370-4855

Let me know if either one of those landowners might be interested. I currently have at least 2, and maybe even 3, helicopters with pilots lined up, we're just looking for the land now.
