I heard 15-20 shots Saturday morning from all around. Most were pretty far off, but a couple were on the lease next to mine. Saturday afternoon only heard 2 or 3 and Sunday heard my 2 shots that I threw at pigs and a couple others.

More than I could count. I know I heard three, very close to me, before my feeder even went off on Saturday morning. Several more over the course of the weekend.

Probably why I started a thread entitled "Sounds like World War III".

Pretty typical for an opener of gun season at my place. It'll calm down over time. Also probably why I've never had a shot at a mature buck any earlier than December.

I may have heard 8 or 9. Some were pretty far away.

I heard 5-6 pretty close to me Sat morning. Then, watched a 9 point for about 20 minutes. Younger deer. He jumped the fence to the North. Then I heard 5 consecutive shots in that direction over the next 30-40 seconds. Think they forgot to hit the range before the opener.

I heard 45-50 shots Sat. morning!!!!!! none of which were mine.... Sunday I only heard 7 but GEEZ! Each shot I heard made my heart sink for the big one I have pics of. The good news is I checked my camera on the way out and hes as nocturnal as they come and still on the hoof.

We heard about a dozen shots opening morning. About 3 that evening. Then about 2 sunday morning. I imagine pigs accounted for about half of the shots heard though.

Haha. My neighbors are high fenced and were blasting. I shot a turkey on sat morning. My shot was the 32nd of the morning. It was crazy in kimble county. We ended up with two ten points and three turkey between the nine of us on my lease over the weekend.

I cant count how many shots I heard around me in Cass County. Sounded like a war zone.
