Took 2 of my grandchildren, my 9 year old grandson, who got a 8 point, and my 4 year granddaughter, who got a spike(she pulled the trigger). Now, 5 more grandkids to go...This year is dedicated to taking the grandchildren hunting-I have 10, 7 will hunt. This weekend was awesome, more exciting than if I'd gotten the deer myself-time with them is priceless! Watching them learn to observe deer and nature is amazing. I start bringing them out in the blind with me at 2-3 years of age-it's been one of the highpoints of my life.

I took both boys always do, and we always have a blast!!!
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

My youngest daughter went with me this weekend. She is 13 years old and this is her fourth year to hunt with me. She killed a doe her first year and has been pursueing her first buck ever since. She actually passed on a 130-140 class ten point Saturday evening citing that he was still too young (3.5) and would be even bigger next year. She named him "Fearless" and has decided that she will try to get him next year if she does not kill anything big this year. She wants her first buck to be a bruiser.

OK, I put everyone on here into a spreadsheet. Alphabetized by your screen name, then assigned a random number within that range. re-sorted by the new assigned random number.... then had it randomly pick one number from the list...

Took my eleven year old son this w/e. He shot his first deer,a 8 point last year and is addicted now. This year he shot his first dove with the shotgun back in September. Teaching your children to hunt has to one of the most memorable things. Gotta go get that buck from the taxidermy this week.

I don't have any kids so I usually just borrow one...
Took an 8yo to the stand with me this weekend, it went like this, Me: "Danny, there's a squirrel." Him: "Shoot it" Followed 10 min of me explaining why not.
Me: "Danny there's a doe." Him: "Shoot it" Repeat above.
He did a good job of sitting, being quiet and not wanting to go in 15 min after we got there. And I enjoyed teaching him what I could!

I took my 12 year old to camp Youth Weekend and he showed me how to harvest a 12pt. 204 lb buck. He missed a doe that Friday before Youth Weekend with his bow, but he made up for it Saturday with his Remington R-25 .308. Knocked this monster down. His big brothers were not amused.
Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!

I took my daughter to deer camp the first weekend and she can go anytime she wants to. She is 31 years old and married, but we still enjoy sitting in the blind. She takes pictures of every buck and I want to shoot just the biggest buck. Some of our best times are when we shared the deer blind.
