Just returned home from a great pheasant hunt in SD. We were fortunate to get our limit each of the three days we hunted. This was a first for both me and the mutt. Poor dog looks like she has gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. The corn and milo(sp?) were hell on her. Within the first couple hours, the hair was worn off her face below the eyes and she was bloody. Didn't seem to slow her down one bit. She did what we asked of her and made some great retrieves of birds we thought we had lost. All that training paid off and I am one proud papa.

Side note. Anyone hunting or passing through that area. Make sure you stop at Pod's in Woonsocket and try the sour cream/raisin pie. Words cannot describe. mmmmmmm good!

I'll be headed to Redfield S.D. next month. Can't wait to pop some birds!

Just got back from Gregory South Dakota--tons of birds great hunt with perfect weather-- hunted with Biggins outfitters great people to hunt with would highly recomend.
