looks like i've run outta options so i'm thinking about gettin a lease for next year. budget is limited(1200-1500). really lookin for feedback more than anything else.

you should be able to find pretty good lease for that amount. just make sure the hunters that sre on the lease are good people.

Look for huge piles of beer cans and spent ammo at the camp.


We have a place in mason thats in that range, 15000 acrs too. Good luck with the hunt!

i hear so many horror stories about some of the leases out there with the landowner restrictions, bad neighbors, etc. the bottom line is i dont know if it is worth it anymore. the sheer cost alone is enough to scare me away

Hey Dowen, If you find a lease in the Hill Country in that price range and need a partner, keep me in mind. Most of the leases I have found have either rediculus prices and or such severe restrictions on them that they just are not worth it. I love the Hill Country but there are limits to everything. Seems like some landowners are just short of telling thier leasors to just mail a bunch of money and stay home. Good luck!
