Never used flambeaus but I do use green head gear and carry lite. Reasonably priced and very good and durable decoys

I have a ton of flambeau, I only use ghg and flambeau. If your goin for mallards their storm front series look great. Only $35 a doz. weighted keel at academy. I like their pintails too. about the same price.

flambeaus will take a beating, I have 5 or 6 dozen that range from 10 to 25 years old.
I like the new ones they have come out with, cheap and look pretty good.

are flambeau decoys any good? Yeah, I have a bunch of them. The ones that you can chuck and land right side up are good ones IMO. I do not think any are keel weighted, some are sand weighted and some are water keel they will land right side up, and I have some that are water keel that will not land right side up. I’m really tired of those, I can put weights on them so they land right, but I hate messing with that.

there are also ghg hot buys, they may not look as good as the storm front or the pro grades, but they are cheap and pretty durable.

all i have seen from academy is the u-vision and i have 2 dozen of the mallards, i didnt know if i was "cheaping" it out and that was one of my issues with ducks decoying... where can you get the storm fronts?

that's not the problem. most of my flambeaus have been repainted with krylon camo tan and brown. They still work.
