We got gr_elliott's boat beached back in sept. scouting for teal. We were going back into a cove of what looked like plenty of water. Then we noticed it was just mud and then realized we were soon to be running into dry mud. Garrett started to pull a 180 and get out, but the prop caught some vegetation and yanked the handle out his hand. Which shot us straight to the bank and about 15' away from any water. We used our big muscles and had to push out about 100 yds before we got to anything good that the prop could dig into. It's at 17' gator traxx with a 35hp gator tail.

We got turned around out in the bay one morning and ran our 22ft bay boat into about an inch of water. It was about an hour of the 4 of us pickin up the boat and carrying it about 6 inches then settin it down. The mud was a little less than knee deep and it was 35 degrees raining and about 15 mph wind, miserable. Finally we got to about 15 inches of water and we were able to get out, we got to our little island we hunt on and got set up about 20 minutes after Daylight. And guess what? not a single dang duck lol

Yes, this morning in the back of a public lake. Getting in didnt seem so hard, but coming out was a real b*tch. I was literally pushing the boat from the back on my knees through timber and against the wind. Its amazing the difference between 3" and 6" of water when floating a boat.

Too many times to count. If you aren't stuck, you aren't driving your boat to it's limits. grin

Worst was my buddy driving the airboat. He points to this big mud flat between us and the river channel we want to be in. He ask if I think the boat will go across it. I tell him NO since it's that super tacky mud. You know. The kind that when you walk it sticks to your boots and you get taller each step. The mud had probably baked in the sun for a couple of days, and anyone who's owned/driven an airboat will tell you how fast that stuff will grab the bottom of the hull. Anyway, he doesn't listen and get us stuck bigger than Dallas. I was plenty pissed. I told him he gets to run the come-along, and I'll power the boat. It didn't take much to break it loose, but it was still a PIA. Good thing I found a 5 gallon bucket to wet us a pathway to the river. up
