She is not much, but pretty average for the ones I have seen. No matter she is the first of hopefully many kills with a bow.

I have been bowhunting for 25+years and still get a thrill everytime I shoot something with my bow, whether it's a rabbit, doe, or trophy. Have fun!

She is not much, but pretty average for the ones I have seen. No matter she is the first of hopefully many kills with a bow. Chuck I got my first Deer with a bow this season too.Ive hunted as in seriously with a bow maybe 8 years out of some 30 plus years of hunting.3 of those years using longbow & recurves only. I actually got it on opening day at about 5:15pm. It of course is a small anterless(in other words a unantlered male I wouldnt have taken it had I known). I've taken sevral hogs and even a black-buck antelope/doe. But the whitetail deer had never presented a fair shot to me other than one time maybe about 6 years ago when I was ona longbow kick and I blew my shot and shot under. This one was walking from right to straight in front and starting to quarter away from me quickly. It hi dead center back quarter exited left side lung behind shoulder..not the shot I thoguht I had. But still fatal.(I was in a Primo ground blind watching a shaded water drainage that crossed under 3 fences at a intersection in a small funnel of woods seperating 3 fields that had alot of hoove prints on it and a few acrons.)

Well I will be transitioning to the rifle a bit, when my daughter comes to hunt with me. But if it isn't 20 degrees or if the kid is not with me I will be bowhunting from now on.
