I think baiting is unethical. You should hunt a trail.

I was talking with a customer in mississippi that also hunts in lousiana and he was saying that deer will walk right past a pile of corn to eat the stuff.
apparently, its the brown casing that surrounds a kernel of rice. basically, the shell.
supposedly they love the stuff.

He told you right. Deer and hogs both love it. It is used in alot of the mixtures made my Wildgame innovations. You can buy it at any feedstore for $10-$12 a bag.. Just put it in poles on the ground.

I think he meant holes, or just pour it on the ground. Only place I found it was $30/50lbs.

There is a place in Lissie, TX, right on highway 90 that sells it by the pallet. I think its called Eagle lake rice bran, or something like that. I just checked for a friend the other day and its going for approx. $250 a pallet. A friend of a friend has ranch in Rocksprings, and the deer love it and the exotics love it more, they use it to supplement their protein feeding.

Just make sure you get "stabilized" rice bran unstabilized goes rancid very quickly. It's pretty expensive but I think(my opinion only) that it is best used as a supplement in the spring and summer as it conatins approx 14-20% protein. Try it if you like...it certainly can't hurt if you are willing to spend the money
