Handle one. I think you will like it. I'm getting one for Quail. I normally use a Supernova, but the Vinci will swing better for flushes that give the unwary some mud butt. If you don't use 3 1/2 inch shells for waterfowl the Vinci is a good choice. I've put a case of Heavy Dove through a Vinci and really liked it.

does anyone have anything to say about remingtons new versa max???? After their 105CTi debacle I would let someone else be that guinea pig. Not crazy about the look of the Vinci, matter of fact I think they are the ugliest gun ever produced, but the guys that own them seem to like'em though.

Read some reviews of the 105cti...lots of problems. As for what a gun looks like thats a total nonfactor.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

They jammed like a big dog. I disagree regarding looks it is totally a factor for me. I ain't spending a 1k+ on something I think it ugly as sin. I know everyone doesn't have that opinion but it is mine.

IMO, the Benelli Vinci, SBE and Browning Maxus are the best duck guns out there right now. I have a Vinci and love it!

so i probly should not get the versa max Not at all, we need someone to spend $1300.00 on a new unproven gun and let us know if it is worth a chit. In all seriouseness, you should stick with Benelli, Beretta, or Browning. Go see which one fits you the best and go with that.

I have hunted with a Vinci for a year now and it is really nice. The guys I hunt with all use Benellis and they seem to like it when allowed to use it in the field. Very balanced, nice feeling. I haven't had a dime's worth of buyers remorse on it.

dude, you know you want the Vinci, the hardest hitting, blackest waterfowl gun on the market....
I like mine so far. Only been on a couple dove hunts and 6 teal hunts but after three of the teal hunts I had to break it all the way way down due to water/saltwater and it cleans real easy.

I know everyone doesn't have that opinion but it is mine. My point is the looks of a shotgun is a total nonfactor when it comes to performance, fit, and feel. So to me it's a nonfactor at completely...some who like pretty guns I guess disagree. Pretty much any shotgun that is in camo or just plain black is ugly IMO...but having a gun that's pretty or ugly doesnt matter as far as killing ducks. To me a waterfowl shotgun is a tool used to kill ducks. I don't buy hammers based on how pretty they are. If we were talking about clothing, trucks, or mounts then to me looks play a bigger part.

have the vinci and am extremely satisfied.
Someone already said it, but go to your local gun shop have them lay out 4-5 guns and then shoulder them and see which one fits you best. For me, it was the Vinci but you might be different.

I own two Benelli's (M2 and Cordoba) and love them. My buddy Swede above with his new fangled Vinci that looks like fidos butt and breaks down like a pool cue seemed to do OK with it even though he called a few birds that I know I shot. Time will tell if the Vinci is all it is cracked up to be.
My suggestion is if you do a lot of goose hunting, get the Super Black Eagle. If mostly dove and ducks, I would do the M2 which is 3" magnum, all you need even for goose.
If your not the lead dog, the view never changes.

dude, you know you want the Vinci, the hardest hitting, blackest waterfowl gun on the market.... My Maxus is waaaay blacker. In fact I think someone called it "the Blaxxus" I like the way the Vinci feels, but it don't shoot 3.5" and sometimes I need the extra pattern.
Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

I don't have a Vinci and don't plan to buy one but if the only bad thing anyone can say about it is it's ugly then that's a pretty good thing for the Vinci.
I think the only reason people say it's ugly is it doesnt look like your traditional shotgun. People don't like a lot of visual change normally. But if you look at many of the new shotguns that have come out the last few years it's clear this is a trend.
