Will deer eat pumpkins? I was thinking of taking a few to the lease for the gun opener and busting them open in a few spots.

Would they attract anything? Hogs maybe?

they would also attract bees, flies, ants, coons, late trick-or-treaters, etc.

They will eat them a little, but they are way more fun to cut a small plug in them, fill with H20 and shoot with a large caliber pistol and see them explode. rifle

We had a pumpkin shoot at our ranch a few years back, and we shot over 100 pumpkins. I went back about a week later and there was nothin left of em. Don't know if the deer got any but the hogs sure did like em

Tell you what you can do with them. Take them to the deer lease and just throw them out on the ground and bust them up and this time next year you will have a pumkin patch. Do it all the time. Great hog hunting.

Thanks, Jigfish

Make sure you get the Indian Pumpkins. The hogs and deer seem to like them better and they will stay around longer!!
