any info on that? That was not a link to hunting seasons. It was a link to available licenses. When you purchase an oklahoma license it is active starting the day you buy it. If you look at the link again, it now says 10-23. Tomorrow it will say 10-24. These are the hunting season dates. http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/seasons.htm

Alright sorry for the delay. Anyway, I found out yesterday I have a little bit of land (50ish acres) in Bryan County all to myself. So, after looking at the new changes, does that mean the $280 non-resident deer rifle is for more than one deer now...or is it still one? Any info about Oklahoma laws and licenses or anything I even MIGHT need to know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Geez, we use to spend $252 for an out of state license and that would get us 1 buck and 1 doe. If its $280...wow!

It's in the links I posted.
This year.
2010 NR Combined Deer Gun (Antlered/Antlerless) For nonresidents who hunt deer during gun season to harvest one antlered and one antlerless deer. If hunting only deer, no annual or 5-day hunting license is required. Legacy permit is also required, unless exempt. $256.00
Or
2010 NR Deer Gun (Antlered) Required for all nonresidents who hunt antlered deer during deer gun season. License is valid for one antlered deer. If hunting only deer, no annual or 5-day hunting license is required. Legacy permit is also required, unless exempt. (A Nonresident Combined Deer Gun license may be purchased to hunt and harvest 1 antlered and 1 antlerless deer.) $206.00
Or
2010 NR Deer Gun (Antlerless) Required for all nonresidents who hunt antlerless deer during deer gun season. License is valid for one antlerless deer. If hunting only deer, no annual or 5-day hunting license is required. Legacy permit is also required, unless exempt. (A Nonresident Combined Deer Gun license may be purchased to hunt and harvest 1 antlered and 1 antlerless deer.) $206.00
And if additional doe taken add
2010 NR Additional Combined Deer Gun (Antlerless) Available to nonresident hunters who purchase a Nonresident Combined Deer Gun license. This license allows the nonresident deer hunter to harvest one additional antlerless deer during the gun season. All regular season dates and bag limits apply. $51.00
Next year 2011 only one license covers all of those.
Nonresident deer licenses have been simplified. Each of the three types of non-resident deer licenses permit the hunter to hunt for multiple deer throughout the specified season.
- The nonresident annual deer gun license has been created. It is valid for hunting all deer allowed during deer gun seasons. This license will cost $280.
Now the bargain with the change is for the bowhunters which have a 6 deer (two buck) limit next season and a very long bow season. Again one license will cover all deer one is legally able to take in that season.
- The nonresident annual deer archery license has been created. It is valid for hunting all deer allowed during deer archery season during the calendar year. (A 2012 nonresident deer archery license will be needed for hunting after January 1, 2012.) This license will cost $280.
And note the legacy permit mentioned is no more, there is no separate permit to purchase anymore. The fee is included in the license cost.
