For WMA areas all you need is you license, archery stamp and APH permit. I just went to Grapevine and got my general hunting permit. I know a few places to hunt on the north end. I've seen a lot of hogs up there.
I'll be heading out again next weekend. I plan on doing a lot of scouting before that.

That sucks, maybe you can hook up with someone on here and have a life long hunting buddy. I've never hunted public land or know anything about it or I'd love to hunt with you.

Yep. Here is the info straight out of the book:
NOTICE to archery hunters and recreational users: You must wear hunter orange during daylight hours at any time when firearm hunting for any species is authorized on the unit. Many units allow firearm hunting year-round for rabbits, and firearm hunts for squirrel and dove often are conducted concurrently with archery deer hunts.
I am a proud United States Air Force NCO and I thank all of you for your support!!!

on the 25'th he had never hunted public land. 10 days later he had made a few trips to fredricksburg, saying he mainly hunts WMA, like he had been doing it for years.

Well my hunting season is done for this year. Hopefully I can still rifle hunt after my rehab on my neck
