Anyone do any good the past couple of weeks? So far i have shot a turkey and 2 big boars. I had one 8 point come in the second weekend but i opted to wait for a bigger buck.

The second boar i shot on video at 63 yards with a 100 gr. slick trick. the bolt went through the left shoulder and out behind the opposite shoulder. he ran about 10 steps and was dead! it was absolutely amazing!

If i can ask, why wouldn't you shoot further then 20 yards?

With the technology used in manufacturing todays bows, arrows, crossbows, bolts and broadheads.....i would think that anybody could shoot further then 20 yards.

My ten cents worth is...........I don't shoot either my Mathews or my crossbow out much past 25 yds for the simple fact that animals, especially whitetails, will "jump" the string and just 'cause you can drill bullseyes at 50-60yds doesn't mean the critter you are shooting at in a hunting situation is going to be in the same spot as when you released your shot...thus sometimes a poor shot. Don't get me wrong, I shot a red stag cow last year at 60yds w/ my Mathews, but if I am shooting a trophy, I would wait for a 20-25yd shot MAX.

How do the rage and slick tricks fly compared to your practice tips?

Nice work Bonner!!! I shot a hog this evening with slick trick that i shot a hog with last weekend and it cruised straight through it and left a blood trail that Ray Charles could have followed!
