Wha is the average number of acres that each hunter has on your lease? Example would be if you have 1000 acres leased and there are 4 guns on the lease, each hunter would have 250 acres to hunt. Not saying you have to stay on that 250 acres, just wondering what an average number of acres per hunter would be.

5000 acres...8 guns (8 bucks) 276/652.....2 guns (1 buck) 288..... 2 guns (1 buck)
Then there are a cpl sections of NF with a very limited amount of guns.
it all depends on cover and placement when it comes to safety. You can pile all the people you want on a place, but the most important part is limiting what actually gets shot so you don't shoot the place out.

We have 9 spots on 4500 acres in South Texas...500acres/spot. But, we actually only have 6 hunters.
My wife's only thing is it can't stare at her when she is eating or sleeping!

3850 acres/8 hunters = 481 acres per hunter on one property.
10,000 acres/12 hunters = 833 acres per hunter on the other.

One mature buck per 500 acres is pretty normal for a management minded property.

I think it all depends on the expectations of the hunter. We have three people hunting a 320 acre place in S texas, that beeing said, we know that it doesnt provide enough for us to each shoot a trophy... or even a cull type buck a year, but we cool with that. We also draw lots of deer from neighboring places with the smorgasbord of feed, food plots and water that we have, so we have plenty doe, hogs and javi to hunt.
