Just wanted to introduce myself before I start chiming in on any discussions here. I was an avid duck hunter in California, but a change of state and babies arriving led to a long break from hunting. I got out last season a few times and remembered all of the reasons I love it. I've been scouting hard and I'll be out as much as I can get away with this year, hunting mostly public land. I've enjoyed reading the discussions here, and it looks like you've got a good, active bunch. Looking forward to hearing of everyone's successes this season....-Keith

Glad you're joining us. Good luck this season, and remember, its rare to kill a cinnamon teal in Texas, unlike California. There are some other differences between Cali and Texas too, but ill leave it at that.

I expected some grief over admitting my California roots, but I've been here five years now and as a city kid with redneck tendencies I definitely fall into the "I got here as fast as I could" category. Texas is home.
We certainly were knee deep in Cinnamons out there but I had good luck with the BWT during early teal here, and I'm looking forward to pulling the trigger on a redhead or canvasback for the first time ever this season...
