I just put the whisker biscuit on my bow last weekend and didn't have a problem with it till I tried to draw on a doe and a fox with it and spooked them both. My question is if its making more noise because I'm still shooting aluminum arrows instead of carbons? Hoping to getsome opinions from some fellow whisker biscuiters.

Aluminum arrows will amplifiy noise, and did you buy the right W.B. for alum. arrows? They do have two different diameters. I bought a W.B. when they first came out, and it didn't take me long to get rid of it. Some love em, but not for me.

I used a biscuit and had the same problem. The manufacturer recommended a couple brands of arrows that made less noise. I kept my arrows waxed too for less squeaking. Someone suggested twirling a qtip in the biscuit to get cotton in the bristles to quiet things down. I changed to a containment fall away rest and am much happier with it.

I had to get that one because it was all I could get at the time without spending a fortune and it was the night before the opener

Silicone spray will work to eliminate the issue and will also keep it from freezing up in cold weather. A buddy of mine had his drop away rest freeze up on him so don't let the biscuit haters bs you. They all have their issues and limitations. I've been killing with a biscuit for 10 years.

Yeah I tried drawing faster and slower and its still loud enough for them to hear it. I dont want to have to get another new rest especially since I just bought this one and have my bow dialed in hopefully the silicone spray thing will help but Im still open to suggestions and thanks again

You can take a piece of moleskin and lay it across where the arrow rests. I've not done it before but have heard of a few doing it.

Here's a link(if I loaded it correctly)

You did. Good job. I use the silicone spray though and it works well.

I've YET, (key word yet) to get busted using the biscuit, however i use carbon arrows.
I have also hunted sub-zero too many times and no problems with freezing

As stated some people love them, I just don't like any arrow contact whatsoever.

I think the best advise you got was what Passthru said... use silicone spray.
