First off, you can't make me feel any worse. I shot my first doe this morning, 30yrds, broadside. I shot and my Lumkoc looked like I hit a little bit forward. I shot and it looked like she took a step back causing me to hit forward. After I shot I waited for a hour, just like your supposed to. So I get down and walk to where she was and no arrow. I went to where she ran and I found the arrow about 10yrds down covered in blood, from front to back. Shooting 100grain Rage, 3 blade. I found good blood for about 100yrds and then nothing. I walked and walked trying to find more blood and nothing. I went back and got my 4 wheeler and covered about a 300 yrd span. I could not find nothing. I searched for three hours and I gave it my all to find her and at the end I could not. So with that said, please go easy on me. Like I said before, you can't make me feel any worse.

It happens......still sucks though. Don't ever give up on finding her, but in this heat, she won't last long. Probably already spoiled. It has happened to me so I feel your pain.

Doesn't Rage say something like "get your game or your money back"? Sorry about your experience...happens to everyone that bow hunts long enough.

nothing to beat you up about....it sucks and like said above bow hunt long enough and it happens to everyone, all you can do is suck it up practice and get back in that stand again!!

I have only shot one deer with my bow and we never found her. I feel your pain.

Still working on number 2...

I had a friend that shot 4 deer with his bow one was a 150+ and never found them. He made good shots they would just walk off and not leave a good trail. He killed his first doe last year now he is dropping them like cord wood no problems a mind thing I guess.

It happens, but you must ask yourself "why". A deer shot through both lungs will not live and will usually be found with in 100 yds.

With your situation it sounds like you shot was too far forward and with those specific broadheads you probably did not get enough penetration to kill the deer. Just get out and keep practicing and keep your shots close. Put it throught the rib cage and you will find them.

If you're going to keep bowhunting, you have to shake it off and get back to business. If you dwell on it, it's going to happen again. It sucks. You gave it your best shot. And it wasn't a "Primos Moment" ending. It sounds like you did everything according to Hoyle and we all hate to lose an animal but you can't undo or redo any of it. Get up, brush yourself off, learn what you can from it, and hit the woods.

Sorry about the luck but as said above if you hunt long enough it will happen. I shot a nice 10pt 2 yrs. ago and looked for him for days. Then the next year while looking for my son's deer, he found the skull and horns so I ended up with a European mount. Shake it off and head back to the stand.

Man your story is a carbon copy of what happen to me opening weekend IT JUST SUCKS !!!! not to find your kill I found good blood for about 125 yds thru the woods till she came to an open field of cpr land which the grass was almost as tall as me & used the same RAGE broadheads as you. SO I FEEL YOUR PAIN...
