Well I never had a big foot encounter but I did have a transiant walk up behind me once while field dressing a deer. My oldest son was about 12 or 13 at the time and it scared him so bad he could hardley tell me there was a man standing directly behind me. I almost slit the guys gut when I spun around. I informed him he was tresspassing and needed to leave the property imediatley. Thinking back I am glad my son was there otherwise that guy may have got a gun, truck, knife and my deer. I would have probly got six feet of dirt. That guy did look like bigfoot dirty wet smelly hmmmmmm....makes aguy wonder...

what is a transiant?

Chris, transient, drifter, vagrant and bum are usually considered one in the same.

As are bindlestiff and foot pad. I think however in modern useage transient, would be used toward illegal aliens more than Anglos.

I have encountered very few Anglos out in pastures, I can't say the same about immigrants from Mexico.

Encountering either out in a pasture that they are not supposed to be in is very un-nerving. JMO.

So it was late, one dark and dreary night and I was all alone. The air was cold as the wind whispered a soft breeze.
In the distance I heard a sound, unlike one I had heard before. There, again in the distance, it was. With nothing but my .22, I feared for my life. There, movement in the dark....What was it? What could it be? And that noise....my ears....Ugh.....I had never heard something like that before. As I staggered around trying to find some kind of light to see what it was.....More movement....And then there it was clear as day....





As the door on the refrigerator opened, the light shown to reveal my worst fear......
