I have a 16 year old nephew who hog hunts on my parents land. Last night, he was out there with a few friends. On the way back from the woods, they stop at the pond, saw a frog and, kids being kids, shot it. My parents neighbor, the owner of the training facility, began shouting profanities at them, 16-year-old kids allowed to hunt on thier grandparents land, because they were 'rilling up his dogs', the same webfoot friends that already bark through half the night, anyway. Before the kids could get into my parents house, he DROVE UP THE DRIVEWAY, WALKED INTO THE GARAGE, AND CONTINUED TO CUSS AT THEM before my Mom could open the front door. Mind you my parents live over 500 yards off the highway.
This is NOT the first time we have had problems with this guy, When he first moved in approx 1/2 mile from my parents the dogs barked constantly and my mom being the P.C. person she is (she is 75 years old) called him and politley ask him if he could do anything about keeping them quiet, AND HE CURSED HER!!.
My brother in law was over there last year shooting one day and he did the same thing to him..... He never has approached ME.... that might go badly
And did I mention he has an open sewer running onto my parents land?? I will the to she Sherrifs dept tomorrow.
Well she is contacting the Sherriffs dept about him tomorrow, needless to say i would have reacted differently, but all I can say is this guy is a straight up runnin A-HOLE,
that being said...... anybody wanna go hog hunting/shooting at my parents house any night this week???? For FREE!!, just bring your own ammo

What an ahole! His name isn't Barry, is it? If so, then he sure enough is a butthole. If you need another gun, I'm "probably" available.

Sorry but if they were NOT on his property, then there is nothing he can do. Move the dogs, put up a bigger fence, shut up...are his best options. By him coming over and getting on the kids like that and his rude behavior to all of this won't look good in his favor when he is taken to court. Which is what I suggest you do. I agree have a skeet shoot or something. Invite a few "off duty" uniforms so that when he comes over ranting and raving, they can plainly state to him he has NO law regarding this and needs to move on.

Sounds like he needs a whooping cursing at your mother and teenagers like that. Maybe someone should run up the drive to his house scattering gravel and a bag of fleas.

some anti-freeze and hamburger will quiet the dogs up i've been told that the new antifreeze formulas are made "unpalatable" for this very reason. And just the fact that you said that irritates the crap outta me. how bout you drink some of that antifreeze there partner? No dog deserves to be poisoned because his owner is a moron. Even if you didn't mean that comment (which i pray you didn't) it was highly uncalled for. If my son said some crap like that, i'd be all over his rear for it... same goes for adults in my opinion.

I would make a phone call to the police about him for sure, and take what ever legal action I could against him.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

I'm not advising in any way.
But, if it were me, I would be civil about it. You could build him a dog house for his dogs, simply as a nice gesture. Then chat with some local exterminators about where to get a few thousand termites to rehome in the new dog house.
You gotta think long term.
Also, I have about 10,000 12ga reloads for trap, just thinking it may be about that time for a THF meet 'n greet, and you just happen to have plenty of land for that.

i like the old saying "kill 'em with kindness" no matter how he acts, especially if you have others around, be the better one about it and regardless if you take him to court, call the sheriff, etc. you will look/turn out as the better one.
