I am getting mid 140's on him. Still a good looking buck worthy of a spot on the wall.

Its Science... Well, we're trending down now, but with just a couple pics to work with and the velvet factor I wouldn't bet much money against any of these predicitions. That being said, here's how I size him up: 58 in tines (8.5 for the G1s, 18 for the G2s, 20 for the G3s and 10 for the G4s, plus 1.5 extra for the cow horn) Its science You see its quite simple... its science. 18 inch spread 32 in mass (pretty safe number for a mature buck in our area) 48 in MBs (ditto) Total = 156 Thanks for the feedback dudes.

I'm 100% sure of this:
20" beams 14" spread 26" mass 55" tines
total of 115"
plus I know the original poster and this fellar is a drunk, a liar, and an expert photoshopper.
Plus he thinks ARs are a good idea!

I wouldn't care if it made 160". I would shoot him.
Does he have to be bigger than 160" for you to shoot him on your lease? Just wandering cause I know some leases are like that.
Good looking deer anyway........

Good looking deer anyway........ Nah, nothing like that. 160 is just sort of our benchmark and a personal goal of mine. With sound management practices in place, we've been fortunate enough to take three deer off our place that grossed over 160 in the last three years. I don't mean to imply that this buck isn't a great buck and a helluva trophy if he doesn't have 160 inches of antler. Just sharing some pics...

He won't make 160 IMO, but I wouldn't hesitate to ground check this guy.

For what it's worth I've got him at 156. I hope you harvest him and let us all know what he actually scored

He's close but what does it matter?
If you were entering him in the big deer contest in Pearsall if he scores over 160 you win a jacket, but other than just the score, what's the big deal?
Shoot um!
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Here is the best method take what you think the virtical total is and add it to 100 and its usually +/- 5"
so.....G1's + G2's + G3's etc + 100= Total +/-5"
(1)7" (2)15" (3)19" (4)8" + 100= 149" between 144"-154"

Shoot um! \ Unless they lowered it this year, it's actually 165 for a low fence buck in the rifle division. But like I said from the beginning, if you're offended by those of us that are interested in what a deer might score, why not just move on to the next thread? I am not saying this deer is somehow unworthy of a shoulder mount if he doesn't score 160. I just happen to enjoy analyzing deer. For the record, those of us that hunt the area have all placed this deer somewhere in the mid-150's based on the trail cam pics (some of which I posted here). Historically, we've been pretty accurate, but it's helpful to get some objective third party opinions. Thanks for the help. Hopefully we will have some pics of him in hard antler soon.

Low 150's
Think you are a little high on g2's.
Hell of a deer! Can't wait to see hard horn pics X2 Give him a year and you'll have your 160" buck. I agree anybody else agree that this is a 4.5y/o buck! Don't get me wrong that deer would be in Deep chit if he walked by me! If you are after a 170" then this guy walk's! If you are after a border line B&C def. P&Y then smoke him!

Nobody said he was going to be shot. Just wanted feedback on the score. Good thing is, we have the luxury of letting him walk if we so decide. Trust me, Grosvenor has bucks on his place that score way more than this one.

I've been looking at a buck that a buddy of mine killed that looks a lot like this one, very close on tine length and spread. The deer in your pic appears to have more mass and maybe a few more inches in other areas. But I'm 100% sure yours is a little bigger and my buddy's scored 154.
