1) I need input on shooting broad heads through the mesh windows on my tent blind. How does it affect the arrow flight/speed?

2) I just bought a PSE Stinger. The draw length is set at 29". The cam is adjustable on draw length and let off without having to put the bow on a press, and I need to shorten the draw length. Can anyone walk me through this process and save me a trip to the bow shop? The instructions in my "owner's manual" are very vague and I do not want to damage my new bow.

I have shot through my ground blind and it doesn't affect my arrow flight at all. Don't shoot mechanicals, only fixed blade. Im shooting montecs at around 285 fps and no problems at all.

How to change the draw length:

It could make the blades open at the mesh and effect the flight of the arrow greatly.

Just like they say don't shoot the mechanicals through the screens. When I hunt out of mine I don't put the screens in it. Make absolutely sure the vertical clearance is suficient for the arrow to clear the bottom of the window. Just because your sight path is clear doesn't mean the arrow path is clear. Just ask my brother about the holes in the bottom of the window on his blind. The two turkeys still walking as well.

I just bought some G5 T3's that have a changeable spider clip on them so you can adjust the tension that it takes to open them. They say that you can shoot through mesh without them opening... But I guess i am going to be the only gullable one here that is going to try them out. I will report back if i get a chance to shot theis weekend!

I pull off all the screens that I may plan to shoot through and leave the rest up for cover. Wear black on the inside for cover. I have mine set 20 yards from feeders with no problem being spotted. Just brush it in good.

Cut a vertical slit in your screen

Sounds like you need to go to a bow shop

That's what I do too. It gets really dark in those blinds and makes shooting tuff early and late if the mesh is up. I turn my blinds so that a couple of the smaller windows are facing my expected direction to shoot, and those I leave completely open.

You have to use red spider clips, that they sell seperately, to shoot T3's thru mesh. Just an FYI.

Thanks for the replies. Got my draw length adjusted successfully. Re: GLC, Texan Til I Die: I agree with you. Appreciate the input. Good luck this weekend.

Thanks for the tip LFD2037. I was wondering which clip to use. Where can you get the red clips at? Academy... Cableas... BPS...?
