I want some feedback on what hunters expect when they pay for a packaged whitetail hunt. I know that most want a trophy buck but I want to hear what matters most as far as getting your bang for your buck. What do you expect to pay for a quality packaged hunt? This is feedback is important because I want to integrate any ideas into my families' hunting operation. Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong . but aren't "Day Hunt" and "Packaged hunt" two different things? I always thought a day hunt is where you paid X amount to hunt for the day. If you saw a buck or doe you took it. If you got in early in the season your chances were fairly good. They used to have places like that around here where you paid $75 or $100 per day to hunt. A package hunt was where you paid X amount to hunt for X amount of days and you were provided lodging and food and could take what ever animals that were included in the deal. I have been out of the guide business for a long time so maybe it has changed.

I like to see a price that is all inclusive or close to that. If you got a price that shows what I can expect to pay for a certain class of deer and it includes my lodging and guide for a few days, maybe meals with that or not, but list it so it's clear to me. That's kind of what I like. What will come second to me is if it includes does or hogs. To me that doesn't really matter as much and I'm coming there to hunt the buck, not the hogs and does.

Everyone is a little different. You just have to find what your clientel are looking for and your price will determine a lot of that and their desires for their hunt.
