I use one. they work great at keeping mosquitos away! it seems silly but make sure you put it on the up-wind side of yourself, that way your protected on both sides.

I sit pretty high off the ground, so i cant say how they affect deer when on the ground, but i havent had any issues

being that im in the SETX region, i use them no matter what i am hunting. and i have had no problems with deer smelling them or acting strangely to them

I have found that diversity adds balance to things. And thats why i shoot a diversity of animals. so i can bring balance to my freezer

Just picked up my refills for mine yesterday. I won't go hunting without it in my pack. Works great, been using one for the past two seasons and I've yet to have a deer show me they smelled it.

Picked one up the other day at Academy. This thing is unbelievable. Used it while bird hunting the other day and it was very effective. It will be in the tree with me Saturday morning.....

Never had any problems with them spooking deer - Thermacell has a permanent place in my gear bag.

I use the regular pads. To me, they have kind of a vanilla or cocnut smell. But even that is very faint. Never seen a need for the earth scent pads since the deer don't spook on the reg's.
