Before the start of every new hunting season, I find myself looking for something that I don't already have that is sure to help me bring down a wall hanger. I still have that "Buck Hustler" that I bought about seven or eight years ago and used once, maybe twice. And I still haven't decided on how to blow money on the most recent gimmick. But then, there are still several more weeks before the season opener.

Anyone willing to admit what they may have wasted their hard-earned dollars on lately?

nope. I just spend all my money on feeding them...you feed them and they will come.

actually they do work... get some Rx bottles and leave the string hanging out and pour in the pee. (Don't get the super absorbant, you'll never get them back in the bottle). Have some that you plan to reuse...and leave a cpl hanging in areas you actually want scrapes.

I wasted some money on seed. Bought it two weeks ago with plans to plant before a good rain. Got tied up fixing other stuff and didn't have time to seed the area I wanted too.

Plenty of rain since then, but the seed is still in the back of my truck. Doubt I'll have time to get back out there in time for it to make a difference.

If so, no reason to fret over it. I'm sure there's a lot of money spent on camo every year by hunters who never fire a shot outside their box stand.

Pretty sure he was kidding, Dan. Sort of a poke at all the people that dress in their finest camo so that they're not seen as they climb into the blind.

i havent bought anything.. got everything i need to hunt deer-- gun, binocs, rattling antlers WAIT WAIT... i bought a new grunt call, but it only cost 2 bucks and is usually 12 bucks, i couldnt pass up the deal.... and my old one broke on me last year, so it was necessary.

And i do use a grunt and antlers, pretty much the only way i hunt.

i bought a case of shells and a mojo......only to have the rain push off all my dove hunting.

hopefully the case will get burned up on them webb county quail.
