I am on a 500 acre lease, and we have 4 feeders up and running (along with cameras). We are seeing some great bucks in the bachelor groups, but we have zero pics of any does.
I am concerned that when the bachelor groups break up in the next month or so, they will split in search of hot does, and we will be left twiddeling out thumbs in the deer blind.
Anybody else had this experience?

Not too uncommon this time of year. There are usually many does who still have their fawns with them. Once the boys start chasing the girls, you'll see more activity for sure.
Where is your lease?

Lease is in Wichita County, a couple of miles south of the Red River.

From my experience, the bucks tend to take over the feeders early and keep the doe from coming in. At some of my feeders, I don't have a problem killing a doe, but one of them has bucks only year around. Doesn't mean that the doe aren't there, just that there is enough food that they don't have to compete with the bucks for the corn. Good luck

There are alot of places in Wichita & Wilbarger counties that have the same problem.. There are still some areas here where the deer herd is not large. However, be optimistic those bucks will still be combing your area looking!

I've got several does and their young coming in during daylight hours but the bucks are only coming in under the cover of darkness right now and that's just now and then.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Sometimes I wonder if I should go back to hunting without cameras...they seem to make me over analyze everything. What did we do just a few years ago when most people didn't even use cameras?

I looked at a place in Jack County a couple of years ago. How long have you been on this lease?

I have all does and 1 little buck at my feeder every day. Looks like I'm going to be a meat hunter this year.

it'll be okay.. we are just now seeing a few does grouped back up around our feeders now that the bucks have split up. Still haven't seen a fawn on camera though. It's like that every year, but the does always show up.
