You are absolutely 100% incorrect in this matter. PETA wants TOTAL ANIMAL LIBERATION.....(admitted by founder and president of PETA).....and they are against any and all forms of hunting. If you do not understand this.....you need to brush up on your research. PETA is at the forefront of the anti-hunting movement.

x2, they are totally against hunting and you're an idiot if you don't think so

Calling and baiting will work just fine. After it hears my ninja calling skills that lion will not have a chance!

I was curious to how many mountain lions you have called/baited up and shot out there prior to offering this hunt.

As stated before this is the first hunt we are offering on this ranch in over 10 years for a lion.

After several instances last year with my guides caping and cleaning aoudad, deer, etc. and having lions follow them back to camp we are running a hunt. One guide also stumbled in/ close by a den but did not have a rifle! That lion scream gave him the willies.

I have called in 2 lions on predator hunts out here just messing arround but the shooter was not ready for such a quick shot/opporunity.

So if really about half a dozen times in less than a year.
The hunt is booked for this year but available for 2012 if Shane does not rebook or refer a friend.

Well then.....it is blatantly obvious you know absolutely nothing about PETA if you think they actually support hunting. That is by far THE MOST ignorant thing I've ever read on this forum.

Here is a little tid-bit straight from PETA's website:

"To combat hunting in your area, post “no hunting” signs on your land, join or form an anti-hunting organization, protest organized hunts, and spread deer repellent or human hair (from barber shops) near hunting areas. Call 1-800-628-7275 to report poachers in national parks to the National Parks and Conservation Association. Educate others about hunting. Encourage your legislators to enact or enforce wildlife-protection laws, and insist that nonhunters be equally represented on the staffs of wildlife agencies."

You can read the entire article here: http://www.peta.org/mc/factsheet_display.asp?ID=53

If your hunting friends are seriously members of PETA, then they should have their heads examined. They are donating money directly to an organization that openly and viciously attacks the sport of hunting. You and your PETA friends are fools if you believe otherwise.....

In fact.....PETA has an entire "archive" of hunting-related articles on their website. You are more than welcome to view it here:

http://blog.peta.org/archives/hunting/

If you can read and comprehend plain English, you should be able to understand that these people are very much against us.

Eland: Thank you for opening my eyes. Like I said before I DO NOT believe in PETA nor do I push the thoughts on anyone. All I knew was that I had friends that hunt and belong to PETA. I WILL SLAP THEM IN THE F**KING FACE.

This one line is obsurbed to me,"Even when unusual natural occurrences cause overpopulation, natural processes work to stabilize the group. Starvation and disease can be tragic"
What is so "ethical" about letting animals suffer. I knew there was a reason that I follow every belief of Ted Nuggent.
Thank you again for opening my eyes. Well let me rephrase that. I will do everything I can to do away with PETA.

HOW CAN I HELP

Thanks aoudad_mike... In speaking with Mike on here he seems like a good guy who really knows what he’s doing... If he’s half as good of a guide in person as he sounds on here I think I will be a long term customer! I can’t wait for this trip. I am in the process of building 2 new rifles for this trip and can’t wait to get out and shoot them!

I personally wouldn't take it back if I were Elandslayer. Some people need to learn to not say things until they have the facts in hand and can act intelligently. This exact reason is why the country is in this current condition. Political elections and global warming are just a few of the many issues. Ignorance is America's most expensive commodity. Ok. Enough of the soapbox.

I called in a mountain lion several years ago way back in the ranch. I was there by myself. Was sitting on top of the hood calling and spotting. I saw a pair of eyes running down the mountain in the distance. The eyes were bouncing up and down way too far to be anything else but a mountain lion. They disappeared when they got close. Being alone and three hours from town with nothing but a .22 rifle, I packed it up and headed for the casa!! bolt
HA-HA. I wasnt about to try to shoot and spotlight at the same time until I had something more than a .22!!! I was in high school then. Thats my only defense. All I knew was that it was something BIG hauling butt down a mountain making a B line towards ME. I can tell ya one thing, there wasnt any dancing going on!! banana

Texas, unless you read all the posts don't speak until spoken to. If you read my "facts" you would understand things. I have friends that support peta and are hunters. I guess they are confused like you seem to be. I bet you call yourself texas republic and I bet you say you are an american.

To be quite honest Kennedy, your posts are quite difficult to comprehend. Perhaps I am confused. First you chase hogs with deer, and then blame your ignorance on your hunting buddies that are members of PETA. That in of itself is kind of hard to comprehend. I believe your exact words were:

"All I knew was that I had friends that hunt and belong to PETA."

I may be wrong, but that kind of sounds like an assumption to me. All I am saying is that it would be prudent to look into things before you take them as fact. That is good advice for anyone, including myself.

As far as my screen name is concerned, I am not going to even bother with that comment. If going after my screen name is the best thing you can come back with its pretty clear I would be wasting my time explaining anything further. Ill just leave it at that.
