Just wanted to throw a little FYI at you fellas. I bought a camelbak at a Army Surplus store and have been using it for my bird hunting outings this season. One of the best investments I've made as far as my hunting accessories go.

For those that don't know of them, mine is a little two liter pack that fits on your body like a back pack but not as bulky. I fill mine up with a bunch of ice and water and I wear my bird hunting vest over it and run the suction hose around my body to where I can access it for quick drinks.

Just thought I'd share this with the folks that don't like to haul a whole bunch of gear into the field and like being able to take long hikes with the shotgun instead of sitting still the whole time.

I like to fill mine up with a little ice, coke and some crown.

The Camelbak M.U.L.E. can hold my wallet, keys, calls, knife, first aid kit, two boxes of shells and 100 oz. of H2O. I love that thing to death! The ACU ones they issue now are crap compared to my M.U.L.E. from back in the day.

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

I like to fill mine up with crown only! It makes for some safe and straight shooting.

Yep, they are great. I just wish I would have gotten one bigger than the 2 liter pack. I'll go through that much water in a few hours. May buy a bigger one for all day hunting and just keep the 2 liter for afternoon and morning hunts close to the house.

at the rate you're drinking water... I'd recommend a Katadyn filter system so you don't ever run out!!!

Yeah I have one of these bags/hoses that is similiar, came out just before the camelbaks, in those days I would put it in the back of my trout vest, then when I moved here I'd put it in the seat pocket of my kayak.

I am the same way, I find that if all I have to do is grab the tube and suck on it a little, I'll go through more water than if I have to grab a bottle from somewhere and open it and drink it. I stay better hydrated but I have to remember to ration when the water is running out.

I can wear it on my back too under my chest pack for when I go fly fishing too.
