Do yall still spin corn with all the acorns hitting the ground now? The deer seem to be staying away from my feeder and eating up all the acorns somewhere else. I was just wondering if I should just turn off my feeder for awhile.

yep! They still like to eat their ice cream after the steak dinner!

I got smart this year and put my feeder right in the middle of 4 huge whiteoaks! They can pick and choose all they want now!

Deer will still hit the corn, its just a matter of time, acorns will affect the # of deer that visit the feeder, but remember if you can get a few doe addicted to the corn and coming regular, they can become the bait during the rut. With corn being 3.78 a sack at walmart I see NO reason to turn off a feeder this year....crank it up! JMO when there are a lot of acorns, throw more corn, that way they have more feen in one spot rather than hunting acorns.....if it doesnt work, your just out a few bucks this year

the man at the top of the mountain didn't fall up it

Mix in a few peanuts with your corn and they will flat walk over acorns to eat peanuts once they taste them.

we don't have acorns in south texas!

YAY!

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
