Being prepared before you head out into the outdoors is a must. Never leave without fire, water and shelter and food. It is a simple as a lighter, bottle of water and a tarp for shelter. A good knife is as important a the rest. It all can go into a backpack easily and weighs very little.
Anyone can own a fancy gun but can you shoot it ?

I usually hunt off of trails, but I keep a compass and map in my glove box in case I want to go off cross country.
