Any Turkey hatch reports yet? With all of the moisture to date should result in a great hatch. Especially interested in E. Panhandle/Rolling Plains.
Any poult sightings?

Not sure where you live but? the drought has already started here in North Central Texas! I do not have much hope for a good hatch this year in this part of Texas, Everything is dead or dying already, went for a drive in the grass lands and saw NOTHING no polts no birds and no bugs to forage on!

De Leon / Gorman area looks promising.
We were out there two weeks ago. Momma and six polts were lazily crossing the "road".
If they like grasshoppers, then they have plenty to eat.
There is also plenty of water.

my new jobs has me going all over the countryside around here. We see a turkey almost everyday, and have seen several hatches. Just the other day we saw 3 hens and there was a tom with em as well. I counted 14 newborns!!! mightve been more. They could fly decent. Not sure how old that makes em???

Brown/Commanche - Last weekend saw two differnet hens with 6-8 polts each and that was with limited driving around the ranch as I was working primarily on one bow set. Lots of cover, lots of grasshoppers, but it is definitely getting dry already. From the looks of it at this stage it should be pretty good but without question we need some rain!

Were you trying to type grail, or possibly "haven't seen in twenty years" ???? I would give my next door neighbors right arm to see quail again!!!!!

Not sure how much scouting you did while up there, but a buddy of mine who scouts up that way often sent me some encouraging pics. Also a friend of mine is the NWTF biologist up there, and she said with the birds that hatched from mid- late spring the hatch should be pretty good, but for the late setters the June heat took it's toll of the majority. We'll see what the flocks are looking like once the fall season rolls around.

Bandera County is seeing a good hatch. We had problems early on with Crows running hens off the nest and destroying the eggs. We dont have a Crow problem anymore thanks to my son and his 20ga.

Fayette County down from the house approx. 300 yds, had a hen and 11 young birds probably have the size of her crossing the road and didn't have a care in mind. They'll wise up I hope.
Oh, I couldn't believe it, drove into my place and saw my first quail hen with about 8 or 9 chicks and that's the first one I have seen since we had the place in 85! Real encouraging and hopefully the management I've been doing is beginning to pay off and will benefit them even more.

Saw one hen and some poults on the ranch near Turkey, TX. Very confident there are more, last time there were dozens. More than enough grasshoppers to go around. Sunflowers were covering the whole property and the tank is full, should be a good season for anything down there Saw lots of mourning dove and QUAIL! Even found a hatched out little nest when walking for hogs.

Stayed on a 200 acre place near Guadalupe River below Canyon Down on weekend of August 5. Saw 2 different groups of Turkeys, one hen with probably 4 or 5 very small polts and later another large group with several almost grown birds.

Here in Breckenridge I sure haven't seen many. I'm on the ranch about everyday and have seen 2 hens in the past 3 months. 3 years ago they were everywhere, saw some bout everyday, even had them in the yard. I use to cuss them at my feeders, now I miss them..

Saw at least 20 young 'uns in Hemphill Co (NE Panhandle) back in September on my folks' place. That's more than I've historically seen. Overall, I think that area got pretty good rains for most of the summer. When we were there in mid-July, it was very green.
