Does anyone know of a good semi-local place (with-in 2 hours of dfw or closer) to hog hunt where I can get 1 or 2 fair sized hogs? I am looking for 1 or 2 hogs to have butchered after I shoot them...

The last ranch I went to charge 250 bucks and I did not see a single hog...

thanks for any advice

I have hunted with Box R Outfitters. Rusty has a nice set up and it was $100 fo 2 pigs. My friend and I went an we both got our two. It is gamefenced but if you want meat this is a great way to do it. Rusty's place is 2 hours west of Fort Worth.

I have also shot a pig with at the DB Hunting Ranch. Its 3 hours from Fort Worth and have always gotten my quarry when I hunt with them. They are game fenced too.

Both places have treated me well and you can't go wrong with either of these places.

It also looks like Whiskey&Me is covered in pigs so you may give him a PM also

Whiskeyandme has hogs- his facilities are good and it was a little over an hour from Lake Dallas. BoxROutfitters was as close to a guaranteed pig hunt that you could get- Both places were much less than what you paid.

Shane,

I would recommend BoxR. I have sent alot of hunters his way.

If you can drive an extra hour or two I can recommend a few other places as well loaded with hogs, free range or game fenced.

I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game.

Might also look into Dos Plumas, he has quite a few hogs, high fenced. Its around Abilene

We will guarantee you will see hogs or your money back! You will not find a better place to hunt hogs, this is what we do! We don't sale many hunts, due to hunting pressure. We want our hunts to be the best hog hunts in the world! I don't think anyone puts more into there hogs! We feed each group 40lbs of corn a day plus feeders throwing out 5bls a day too. We have 5 spots set up that we have at least 50 hogs a day at each feeder! You will see hogs! $200 gets you room and board and one hog! If you see hogs and you are looking for that trophy hog and don't shot you will get $50.00 back. If you don't see anything, you get all your money back! And our cabin you will have to your self is very, very nice! You will not find a better deal! You can check out more info at www.BOARDHUNTS.com act fast to get a slot to hunt...

Thanks for having me out today (yesterday) Billy! Billy was a super nice guy and tons of help! Sadly I did not see any hogs but I did see lots of tracks just not my night! I think I am cursed with hogs... Every time I go out I don’t see them... Maybe next time I will just buy a hog chain it up and shoot it from 100 yards smile All kidding aside thanks again for having me out Billy!

Shane

Look up WhiskeyandMe. A group of 4 of us went to his place Saturday night & 2 of the 3 blinds had confirmed hogs (I got a nice boar) and the guy in the third blind "heard sumpin splashing around in the wallow, but couldn't really tell what it was".... crazy (We suspect he got caught sleeping.)

Affordable, professional, close by, he's got hogs...hard to beat it.

Good luck!
