I'd say around 9-10 per 25 shells.

I am completely inconsistent. Several times I have limited out with about one box. Several times it has taken me 5 or 6 boxes. I'd say average is 2 - 3 boxes. I do worse when the dove are thick because I do not have enough self control to slow down. It sure is fun on those day s though.

I get unlucky sometimes and might get 4 or 5 out of a box of shells. I am a team player and work harder at trying to scare the birds over to the other hunters in the field.

I am to embarrassed to tell my ratios this morning...

I ain't even gonna lie, I shot 3 boxes and brought home 9 birds this morning.

One for one.... one box for one dove! No, usually average out to one bird for three shells. I have more fun shooting at them than I do hitting them.... plus I don't have to walk as much

I believe the average dove hunter is 1 bird for 6 shells. I will tell you how I am doing after this weekend

I don't know exacts but I had to tap into that 3rd box for my two hunts. Considering how many birds were out there I missed a ton so at least my hunt lasted 40 minutes instead of 20.

I got 9 yesterday with a box of shells. Suckers were flying high and fast with the wind.

I shot 4 for 7 yesterday.

Yesterday I hunted with my new 20ga O/U. I decided to keep track with the new gun. It seemed about the same as I do with the old 12ga, I got a limit with 44 shots. Birds were pretty high and very fast, most coming over a treeline straight downwind.

Same here yesterday evening - trying to stimulate the economy with ammunition sales......
