When dove hunting do you shoot and eat the Rock Dove(pigeon). Last year we had several flocks of these fly over but didnt shoot them because you could tell they were pigeon. For some reason i feel like it is more of a trash bird. Anyone else feel this way.

Stay away from those city pigeons This is true, especially since the city (trash-fed) birds hardly every wander outside of the city limits. As for the ones I shoot, I just grind them up along with all of my doves and make jerky out of them.

Although I don't doubt that it's good!

Pigeons are great eating. Typically a pigeon in the country has a good diet (same as a dove) and should be shot and eaten.
"Squab" is actually young, flightless pigeon. Kinda like veal vs. beef.
We grill or stew pigeons. I will actually seek out farmers that will let me shoot pigeons on their land.

"Rock dove" is still a dove! It may be a big dove, but that just means you can add a bigger jalapeņo and slice of cheese with the bacon wrap.

My brother killed a banded white one while dove hunting when we were kids, ironically the tag read "Lucky".
