Never fails that some dummy can't tell time and shoots early scaring away all the birds I have in my spread floating until we can legally shoot.

6:15 Bang!! First shot of the season. Rattler Bug. Me and my dog almost stepped on him. He was coiled and about to strike, luckily i got him before he got me.
P.S. I took my dog back to the truck. At least I had on snake boots.

Man glad everything turned out ok. That was a close call. I won't put my dog out for that very reason. Just not worth the risk.

there was some fellers out hunting dove on Tuesday the 31st and the bad part was, is that i was watching them from the road.

Yea guys, the snakes are out pretty good. Been seeing quite a few the past couple of weeks. Also, it could have been a hog, I got one field that my guys will be fighting hogs early. Can't go into that field in the morning without seeing 20 or so running up and down my mowed lanes..
