I took my bow to a shop to get my Ripcord rest string re-served to my bow string due to it kept sliding, not dropping the rest, flinging the arrows crazy & messing up my vanes. Well, I shot my bow about 10 times & it still slides & has messed up more vanes. My ? is, does yours slide up on the bow string? Is this normal & I'm supposed to slide the serving back down the string after every 10 shots? Thanks.

I haven't shot my bow in about 3 months & boy is my aim all off. Is this normal? I think I need an hour lesson from somewhere. I'm sucking pretty bad!!!!!

aim off after a long break, more than likely your anchor point is not consistent. Focus on the the fundamentals before pulling the trigger.

As for the ripcord, is your cord served in or do you use the football clamp? This is a problem with some dropaways but I havent heard a problem with ripcords unless the cord is cut too short. It should be tight at full draw with less than strecthed tension.

no it should not slide up or the serving - it sounds like the shop made a mistake - well in know they made a mistake if the string and serving slide

It is served in. So you think the cord is too short? What it does is the cord slides the serving up just a little each pull. Then after about 10 pulls it doesn't let it drop. I always '[censored]' the arm up before I draw. Should I not do this? I figured my aim was gonna be off after a lay-off but I didn't think I would be all over the place like this.

I dont have the rip cord but simular rest and mine is installed under the main serving so it can not slide. This meant shorter cord but works fine.

What main serving do you mean? Where you D-loop is attached?

Yes the main serving where the D-Loop is served. The serving should come down about 5-6" below the loop, at least thats how my z7 is.

i'm no bow tech but this doesn't sound right.....the string for the rest should be on one of the cabels not the main string....Right?

Just now finishing a busy day. Jerry ABSOLUTELY did me good. Had a few minor problems that were creating a big problem. He was patient w/me, taught me alot & worked magic on my bow. Went out tonight & shot 2 hogs thanks to Jerry fixing my rig. THANKS JERRY!

LMAO!!! You are absolutley right! The rip cord serving was ran on the down draw cable and served in the same spot. Sorry for me leaving that out. Funny after reading my post..
