I think i have found that the Browning Cynergy field classic 20ga fits me well. i love the berettas but I am a left handed shooter and they have quite a curve in the stock for a right handed shooter. You said it! I fell hard for a Beretta S686E in 20 gauge years ago. It sits in my safe because I too am left handed and can't hit a thing with it. I do much better with my old Ithaca/SKB 500 12 gauge which has more of a neutral cast to it. Altho, I really am not much of a shotgunner anyway.

I have a Luciano Rota sxs with a set of 20 ga and 28 ga. barrels that i really like. also, a 16 ga Elsie (1938) with a set of 28"(F/F) and 26" (C/C) barrels that I can't shoot because of a hand condition (my son loved it as his Christmas present).
BMO where are you in Mo. City?

You know my Dad hunted birds very successfully with a Remington 870 wingmaster in 20 ga. He used that gun about 30 years and I have it now. So it really is your preference and what feels good. Just because is cost more does not mean a gun will kill birds better. It is all in the hunter and the gun. Got to get what feels good to you. If you can figure out a way to shoot a couple different guns that would help alot.

It don't need something expensive to feel like I have a good gun. I have always just used an old mossberg pump. Might have cost $180 brand new, but I have actually come close to winning skeet competitions with that gun so I totally agree about fit and feel.

Personally I would go with A Franchi O/U or browning citori. Both have interchangeable chokes so you could use it for upland game and duck however the citori is shorter so you may have some difficulty with the ducks. Hope this helps and happy hunting to you, and I hope you get your bag limit!

For all you wrong handed guys, they can bend that stock on that gun you already own. If you check out ableammo.com Beretta even maskes a left hand O/U

Check out Stefano Fausti Arms. Made in Italy, imported by Traditions and other US gun makers. Beautiful gun and great fit. The custom work is very apparent in their guns. I would steer clear of Yildiz, Stoeger. Heard nothing but bad things on these.

HAPPY UPDATE: I recently purchased a Do-All WhiteWing clay thrower, and have gained a great deal of confidence in my ability while shooting my Beretta 20 gauge. Sure am glad I didn't post it in the classifieds! Bring on the season! I'll be ready.
