Around 2700 acres, wheat fields, river bottom, plum thickets, rolling terrain, we've just about got it all! Water, electric and septic hook-ups. Looking to have 12 hunters max. Due to problems last year, prospective leasees will be hand selected. This may ruffle some feathers, but that's the way it will be to ensure we get the right hunters, to protect the other's interest. Family welcomed, but deer taken will come off of paid hunter's allotment. Electricity will be divided equally between hunters with $100 deposit up front from each. Deer, hogs, turkey, dove, quail, and I suspect some sandhills, ducks and maybe even geese could be taken. This is a year round lease that normally re-news Aug. 1st. Due to the economy, we lost some hunters this year and need to fill these spots ASAP. PM me, I will check this post several times each day.

could be opening up a can of worms here but just curious? With over 200 views and the price listed in the "title", why no more PMs? Are most of you just curious lookers trying to get an idea what one gets for $2250? Or, is there something I might have left out or listed that makes it unattractive?

It sounds like good place, my guess id that some folks may be deterred by the number of hunters. That was my reason for not sending a PM. Please dont think Im judging your lease in negative way, I know mots guys are protective of their lease. It just always seems that the more hunters involved, the harder it is to get everyone on the same page. Once again, Im not being judgmental, Im just sharing my own opinion.

nah, I appreciate the honesty. I've been the "outsider" on a lease with others twice. Both times it worked out ok, one better than the other. We had atleast 7 hunters on about 1000 acres. This place has plenty room to spread out. Craigslist, here we come. Really wanted to get better hunters than what I'm afraid we will end up with from there.

Maybe give some info on the quality / quantity of game that can be expected or has been taken on the place. If I hadn't just secured a lease in Motley Co. (just off the river and have seen alot of potential) I would have definately taken a look at this place.

Roy, you know I'm so tight I squeak when I walk! I had to take a second mortgage out just to be avble to afford a spot on this place! Paying any more is out of the question for me. If I had your money, I could throw mine away and just absorb the extra spots myself.

It sounds like a great place, but my concern was the number of hunters. I'm just acroos the river from you and we have 7 hunters on 3250 acres for $2500. Yes we could handle more hunters, but thats not what we want.

weekend bump, may be cutting a hunter or two and selling some hog/turkey hunts to make up the difference.

Is there a place to sleep in or do I need a trailer? How many spots do you have left? Is there any mule deer on the property as well? I agree with bowhunter up there 12 does sound like a lot of hunters on this piece of property but it's getting close to deer season now I need a spot desperately

How many spots do you need? lol! Still have 4 spots. Lots of people that "want to look at it" but don't commit. You would need a trailer to sleep in. There have been some mule deer seen on the place, but none killed.

Only because you asked... I just don't expect foard county to sustain 12 mature trophy quality bucks on 2700 acres. We hunt prime Hill Country and only have 8 hunters on 2400 acres. (same price).
