What is a good food plot to start in this area, with all the hunting pressure in my area may be I need to put a food plot up. Also what is a good mix to put in feeder, like deer with soy bean or what. Thanks for your help

I'm also in Breckenridge. I've been planting about 40 acres of straight wheat for the past 13 years. This year I'm going with a wheat, oats and barley mix for my field. Good thing is you can get your seed in Breckenridge at Turner Seed on 183 about 3 miles south of town.
Grasshoppers are really bad this year, wait to plant it at the end of Sept to the first of Oct or you won't have a plot. Hoppers will eat it to the dirt if you plant to soon.
