I just bought a surburban that I plan on using as my hunting rig...only problem is that it is red and white. I would like to have it painted or have some sort of wrap put on it.

Since this is only will be used at the hunting lease, I don't wnat to spend a ton of money. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

Thanks

Matt

I think Maaco will do a scuff and shoot paint job for a few hundred bucks. May be worth it to have them spray it. If not, go buy yourself a spray gun for an air compressor, tape off what you dont want painted, and start spraying. Doesnt matter what it looks like if it will be on the ranch.

Thanks guys. I am already spraying the whole inside with bedliner. I might call Maaco to see what they will charge me.

Clean it good, scuff it up a bit and then rattle can it would be the cheapest way to go.

we rattle canned/spray can painted the truggy. we laid down the green and the kids picked leaves and weeds at the lease and used brown and black to add the camo pattern. i then wet sanded it with a fine grit sandpaper to dull the colors.

another ideal would be to use a roller to paint it. do a search, it seems to be the growing thing.

We did a pick-up years ago. We rolled on some exterior flat house paint, let it dry, the got some brown and grey and used a crow's foot brush to stamp it on. it left a nice texture, and looked good when we got done. I actually lost the truck one evening after a hunt. Took me about 30 minutes n the dark to find it. Didn't leave it in the cedar groves after that.
