I have a few openings in each season for elk hunts in Durango, Colorado.
1st Season --- Oct 16-20
2nd Season --- Oct 23-31
3rd Season --- Nov 6-14
4th Season--- Nov 17-21

For those who don’t know us, we offer amazing hunting opportunities west of Durango in Unit 741, 16,000 private acres which includes Sawmill Canyon, Indian Creek, Bridge Timber Mountain, and Goat Canyon in La Plata County. The ranch consists of excellent habitat for elk, mule deer, and black bear. Camp accommodations include 3 meals/day and lodging, walk-in cooler, and fire pit. All hunts are guided or semi-guided. The hunts are 4 or 5 day hunts depending on the season. Rifle hunts are $3500. Here are some of 2009 kills. We have plenty of references and returning customers, some of our customers have been outfitting with us for 10+ years, in both our Texas and Colorado Ranches. We can promise a hunt you won't forget... Give me till this weekend and Ill have some trail cam pics, were headed up there this week to check’em... Feel free to call me 979-777-3795 or by Pm's or by email at DMiller3006@gmail.com

Here's the hunters cabin

Here are the guys from American Hunter Tv, from the Outdoor life Channel… Show should air in a couple weeks…

That elk hunting will get in your blood.

And in your wallet. Elk tags have gotten ridiculous.

Naw, buddy no archery openings any more... those fill up quick. Mainly customers that put there deposit down while they're up there, for the next year... but they are $2500 and we're always booking for 2011 and so on....

yeah, tags are getting pretty bad but I did read somewhere that they weren't going to go up again for two or three years. But when you kill that animal thats a 1000lbs and 300" of horns on its head, it's all worth it.... Trust me.... Then your addicted...

Muzzleloaders are by draw only, at least for our units and they usually take two or three preference points to get... but if you got tags already we prolly could fit you in....

I have two points and will be hoping to draw in 2011. I'll look you up when I finally do draw.

Man that sounds great. A couple of questions. Are license over the counter? How much for Rifle license?

Thanks

They're called "left-over" tags, you can buy them over the counter if there's any left over after the draw, The Colorado d.o.w. will post whether or not they will have tags available the first couple days in Aug.

They usually have tags available the whole season, all the way up until mid November. Tags are $544. If you come across any other question let me know, we'd love to have you come hunt with us...

That's the trouble with archery. It's not as easy as with a rifle and when you drop $3K+ on a hunt and you come home with out the meat and horns it can un"addict" you real quick.

Or at least your wife.
