Caspians are pretty good 1911's. They are on par with higher end Kimbers/Colts, imo. Personally I would buy either of the previously 2 mentioned or save a little more and get a Wilson Combat or Les Baer.

Quality parts. Much depends on who the gunsmith is. Have had really good luck over the years with Wilson & Baer. Great quality and customer support. Don't overlook Clark in Louisiana as well.

Wilson did use Caspian frames and slides many years ago, not sure now. Colt's were getting too expensive so Bill started using Caspian.

The USMC uses Caspian frames for their MEUSOC.45's. Good enough for me!
