Just thought i would see what kind of broadheads you guys are going to use this year.

I used the Slick Tricks 125 last year and loved them. they shoot the same point of impact as my field points. i even shot a pig last year and the arrow exited and hit a t-post and didn't even break the slick trick.

good broadheads!

I use the Muzzy Phantom four blades in 125 gr. They fly true and do a number. I also have a few of the Carbon Express fixed F-15's in my bag to try. They are 100 gr. Its a matter of what you like.

I believe the only limits on xbows is cutting area and drw weight. That maybe different since it's part of archery season now.

The barnett quad 400 recommends a 125 grain broadhead. It makes since to me that if your bolt, broadhead set up is to light it would almost be like dry firing so i would go with the heavy broadhead. A friend of mine will probably use muzzy 125 or rage 125.

When you guys get tired of shooting those sissy broad heads call me and I'll send you some real man broad heads.. 220 gn Muzzy Phantoms, I use on my long bows and compounds.

Those 100 and 125 are what my 7 year old grandson shoots. rofl

yes, i have found that the heavier i go the more accurate it gets. but as you know, you gain on one end you give up on the other (accuracy vs. speed). i picked the slick tricks because they have a very wide cutting diameter yet are a very short broadhead and seem to fly very true regardless of how windy it gets.

I also shoot blazer vanes.

The biggest thing you gain is in k.E. and that's what it's all about. Would you rather drop a soft ball on your foot or a bowling ball? Same speed, just more K.E.

I'm with ya there. that's why i have heavy inserts in my bolts to achieve that high KE. I will try those broadheads though. they fly good?

Thought you hated xbows? Let me think how many deer have I killed with my "lite" 125's past couple years? Let me go find Limpy and ask him what he thinks. rifle rofl
