I am going to have to put up a fence around a food plot I plan on doing this fall. My question is could I use feild fencing around the plot to keep hogs and cows out.

I don't see why not. Deer have no problem jumping it and I don't see hogs with any size getting through it.

If hogs want in they will get in!!!! I would do some hog hunting and use a 4 run slick wire fence to keep the cows out and to help keep the deer from getting hung up.

3 strand bw for me. I don't care if the hogs come through. I shoot them too.

Visit www.goinfencing.com that is what they sell, deer food plot fencing. They sell 8 foot panels to go around your food plot, it's a 30 foot diameter to go around your feeder or u can buy enough panels go around your entire food plot. If you figure up the barb wire the t posts and you convert all the work you do driving the posts into dollar value, buying panels from goingfencing is cheaper and easer to install. 4 hours of driving t-posts or 30 minute of setting up a few panels, which is better? www.goinfencing.com

I have two plots and hunt around cows. Put a plot in and cows eat more than the deer. I dont know how "big" your plots are but mine are at least 1/4 acre each. What I did was go to tractor supply bout a solar powered fence charger (109.00), roll of wire (17.00) and insolators (5.00). The nice part about this is it keeps the cows from eating your food that you are growing for your deer. The hogs wont hunt a thing runing thru it. hope this helps.
